On April 16, 2026, the School of Finance and Economics of Jiangsu University held an online cooperation meeting with the Lahore School of Economics, Pakistan. Representatives from both sides discussed international education, teacher and student exchanges, and scientific research cooperation, and reached initial cooperation agreements. School leaders and teachers from Jiangsu University, as well as administrators and faculty from the Pakistani side, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, both universities introduced their disciplinary features, faculty resources and international development progress. Based on mutual benefits and complementary advantages, the two sides confirmed cooperation in three main areas.

First, the two parties will carry out regular teacher exchanges, including academic visits, short-term teaching and teacher training activities, to improve teachers’ international teaching and research abilities.

Second, both sides will promote student cooperation. They plan to launch student exchange programs, credit recognition, overseas study visits and joint training projects to expand international talent cultivation channels.

Third, the two universities will cooperate in scientific research. Focusing on regional economy, international trade and digital economy, both sides will conduct joint research and academic exchanges.

During the meeting, the two sides reached further consensus. They will steadily implement teacher and student exchange projects and improve relevant management rules and training arrangements. Both parties will also share research resources regularly and strengthen online academic cooperation. In addition, the two sides will sort out cooperation details and sign a formal cooperation framework agreement to ensure long-term and stable collaboration.

In the next stage, the School of Finance and Economics, the International Office and the Overseas Education College of Jiangsu University will jointly promote follow-up work. The university will summarize meeting outcomes, make detailed implementation plans, and communicate closely with the Pakistani partner. Both sides will gradually complete the drafting of the cooperation agreement and arrange annual international exchange and research plans to ensure all cooperation projects are effectively carried out.
