On the afternoon of May 26, the School of Finance and Economics of Jiangsu University held a cooperation seminar with Macquarie University, Australia, in the conference room 1304D of Sanjiang Building. The seminar aimed to deepen practical cooperation between the two universities and further promote the Sino-Australian 2+2 joint education program in finance.

Hu Xuhua, Dean of the School of Finance and Economics, Yvonne Breyer, Deputy Head of Education and Employability from Macquarie University Business School, as well as relevant administrative staff and teachers from both sides attended the meeting. The seminar was presided over by Vice Dean Yan Jun.

Dean Hu Xuhua extended a warm welcome to the Australian guests. He introduced the school’s discipline layout, educational strengths and international development achievements, and summarized the current operation of the 2+2 joint program. He pointed out that the long-term cooperation between the two universities has achieved fruitful results and provided valuable international study opportunities for students. The school will continue to optimize its curriculum system, standardize credit recognition procedures, and improve talent training plans to cultivate high-quality financial talents with solid professional competence and global vision.

Deputy Head Yvonne Breyer introduced the educational features, disciplinary advantages and international cooperation experience of Macquarie University Business School. She stated that Macquarie University highly values the partnership with Jiangsu University. The Australian side will fully guarantee teaching quality, provide sufficient academic resources, professional guidance and career support for enrolled students. She also expressed the hope to expand in-depth cooperation in curriculum co-development, teacher exchanges and academic research.

During the seminar, both sides conducted detailed discussions on curriculum connection, daily teaching management, student services, and further study and employment support. The two parties communicated existing challenges and improvement plans, and reached consensus on measures to improve the quality of the joint program.

This meeting further consolidated bilateral cooperation and clarified key tasks for future program development. In the next stage, the School of Finance and Economics will continue to expand international cooperation channels, improve the quality of international talent training, and promote the steady and high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
